ARMAGH’S AARON FINDON has apologised to the Donegal football camp for pushing Donegal team doctor Kevin Moran during Saturday’s All-Ireland quarter-final at Croke Park.
During a fractious clash between the Ulster counties, Findon pushed Moran to the ground during a first-half incident after the Donegal medic had come on to the pitch to try to treat Karl Lacey as a scuffle broke out.
The Donegal News has reported that Findon made contact yesterday with Donegal to convey his apologies for the incident and it has been welcomed as Donegal look forward to their All-Ireland semi-final clash with Dublin on August 31st.
The incident provoked a heat debate on RTÉ Radio on Saturday between presenter Des Cahill and pundit Joe Brolly with the former Derry All-Ireland winner downplaying the incident.
