Beckham 'flattered' at link to Paris St. Germain (and several other clubs)

David Beckham continues to tease the media with some kind words about Paris St. Germain. He’ll probably just stay in LA, you know?

DAVID BECKHAM SAYS that Paris St. Germain is an ‘interesting club’ and he is flattered to be linked to them, meaning he will almost certainly join them, or Tottenham, or QPR, or Leicester, or stay in Los Angeles, come the end of his Galaxy contract.

The former England captain is sparking a frenzy of interest in his services despite the fact that he turns 37 next May.

PSG – coached by Leonardo, who worked with the midfielder at Manchester United – are backed by the wealthy Qatar Investment Authority and are keen to lure the former Manchester United man to France.

Beckham told www.sports.fr: “I had a good relationship with (Leonardo) when I was in Milan the first time and also when he was manager the second time. He’s a great sporting director and a wonderful person. I’m flattered that he wants me to come join him and the team in Paris, but I’m a Galaxy player, I live in Los Angeles, I am happy there and I play for them.

“There are great things happening in France at several clubs, but it’s an exciting time for PSG. Leonardo joining them, the money the club has – it’s an interesting club.”

Next week: Beckham speaks of his admiration for the rebuilding process at Lincoln City, and refuses to rule out a move.
