Celtic may face Uefa disciplinary action after bizarre pitch invader incident

A fan aimed a kick at PSG’s Kylian Mbappe after making his way onto the turf.

KYLIAN MBAPPE WAS the target of an attempted kick by a pitch invader during Celtic’s Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

A spectator ran on to the playing surface at Celtic Park and swung a leg in the direction of Mbappe but the France international was able to stay out of the way.

The invader was then led out of the stadium by security staff.

Such an incident could mean disciplinary action from Uefa for Celtic, with the supporter able to break through the measures set up to prevent pitch encroachment.

Arsenal were fined €5,000 last season when a fan ran on to the pitch during their match against Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.
