CHRIS GAYLE IS making headlines again — this time for the right reasons.

The West Indies star smashed a record-equalling 50 off just 12 balls in the Melbourne Renegades’ final Big Bash game.

Gayle blasted eight boundaries — seven sixes and a four — as well as a pair of twos, a single, and just one dot ball.

It matches the record for the fastest half-century in T20 cricket set by India’s Yuvraj Singh back in 2007.

Gayle came under fire earlier this month after he asked Australian TV reporter Mel McLaughlin on a date during a post-match interview, sparking a sexism row.

Ronda Rousey doesn’t know if she’ll get a re-match with Holly Holm this year
