IT’S THE MOST coveted hurling trophy in Ireland but the Liam MacCarthy Cup is currently hanging out Down Under.
All-Ireland champions Clare are continuing their tour with the trophy after last September’s triumph and it was snapped in Perth today.
Clare hurler Aaron Cunningham and Michael O’Neill, the chairman of the Clare Hurling Supporters Club, were with the cup at the Patersons Stadium in the Western Australian city. The stadium is the home ground for AFL sides West Coast Eagles and Fremantle.
