FORMER WWE STAR CM Punk — real name Phil Brooks — is currently preparing to make his debut for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, despite never having competed in a mixed martial arts bout before.
Neither a date nor an opponent have been set for Brooks’ first UFC bout, but Irish welterweight Cathal Pendred has previously expressed his interest in welcoming the 36-year-old Chicago native to the octagon.
This evening on Twitter, the pair locked horns after Pendred– who faces Tom Breese at UFC Dublin on 24 October — tweeted a video of Brooks doing some padwork and said: “CM Punk on the pads making me look like Muhammad Ali.”
From there, things escalated quickly…
