After a year with Western Force, Boomer called in as injury replacement for Ireland U20s

The Ballymena man’s gain is due to an ankle injury suffered by UCD’s Will Connors.

LEINSTER AND UCD flanker Will Connors has been ruled out of Ireland’s World Rugby under 20 Championship with an ankle injury.

Nigel Carolan’s squad took off for Manchester today ahead of their opening match against Wales on Tuesday, 7 June,  with Ballymena RFC’s Conall Boomer in as Connors’ replacement.

The former Methody schoolboy has represented Ireland at under 19 level and spent last season playing for the Western Force’s under 20 outfit.
