BOHEMIAN FC HAS today announced the signings of Connor Parsons and Alex Lacey.
Parsons arrived on a multi-year deal this morning; the 24-year-old former Waterford winger joining from Dagenham and Redbridge, subject to international clearance.
Lacey later became the sixth new arrival of the closed season so far, following the permanent signings of Parsons, Colm Whelan, Niall Morahan and John Mountney, and loan signing of Kian Best.
The 31-year-old defender comes to Dalymount Park with a wealth of experience in England, from Luton Town to Yeovil Town, Notts County, Gillingham and Hartlepool United.

“Alex is a really experienced centre-back with hundreds of games under his belt at really good levels in England,” said Bohs manager Alan Reynolds.

“He has been in with us in the past couple of weeks and we have been really impressed with what we have seen from him. His attitude and the help he has given the younger players in the squad has been first class.
“He was due to go play in the United States but that fell through, which has thankfully benefited us as he is exactly what we needed – a 6ft 2in dominant and good centre-half who we have seen already will fit in really well with the group. We’re delighted to get him in.”
“I’ve really enjoyed my time with the club over the last couple of weeks,” Lacey added. “After meeting Rennie and the team, I felt right at home straight away.”

Parsons, meanwhile, stated “this move feels so right for me,” having previously played under Reynolds at Waterford.
“Connor is a really talented winger with electric pace, who will bring great energy to our side and excite our supporters,” the manager noted.
“He is a player I’ve wanted to bring to the club for some time. We tried to get him at the end of last season so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to get him now.
“He is someone I have worked with before at Waterford so I know the qualities he will bring. He is a really quick and direct wide player. He knows the league well now, and he is going to be a brilliant addition to our squad.”
Elsewhere, St Pat’s have announced that Aaron Bolger has joined English National League side Ebbsfleet United until the end of the 2024-25 season.

And Cork youngster Alix Mendez has signed for Aberdeen. The right-sided defender joined the Scottish outfit yesterday, having departed Cork City this week.
“I am really happy to be at Aberdeen, I think this is the place for me to develop and continue my career,” said Mendez, who links up with Irish male counterparts Jamie McGrath and Gavin Molloy at the Dons.
She will face Saoirse Noonan (Celtic), Emily Whelan, Claire Walsh (Glasgow City) and Ciara Grant (Hibernian) in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
