Summer hurling was far from the minds of the Cork and Waterford hurlers yesterday.

IT WAS HONOURS even between Cork and Waterford in the Allianz Hurling League yesterday.

A fitting result was the verdict of both managerial camps afterwards on a wretched afternoon for hurling in Dungarvan.

Incessant rain lead to pools of water, mudbaths and a Fraher Field pitch that descended into a quagmire.

There wasn’t much free-flowing hurling as the pictures below demonstrate.
