AN AUSTRALIAN CRICKETER has been suspended after he scratched an image of “a penis and testicles” into a wicket.
Daniel Worrall, a bowler with South Australia in the Futures League, was found to have brought the game into disrepute following the incident last week.
He was suspended for two four-day matches, or four one-day or T20 matches.
“We are extremely disappointed in Daniel’s actions; it is not in line with the behaviour we expect of a West End Redbacks player,” general manager Jamie Cox said.
“We do believe this out of character for Daniel; he regrets his behaviour and has accepted the penalty.”
