EVERTON HAVE WON an appeal against the red card awarded to midfielder Darron Gibson’s in last Saturday’s match at West Ham.

The Irish international was dismissed for a high challenge on Mark Noble in the Toffee’s 2-1 win at Upton Park.

Gibson was able to face Wigan yesterday because Everton lodged the appeal and today the decision has been quashed by the FA.

David Moyes’ side face in-form Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday.
