DAVID BREEN LINES out with his Na Piarsaigh teammates in the AIB Munster senior club hurling final today.
They face Clare champions Sixmilebridge in Cusack Park in Ennis in their battle for silverware.
Na Piarsaigh’s successful squad are bidding for their second title in three years. But we wanted Breen to dish the dirt and tell us what he really thinks of his teammates.
1. Toughest?
“I’ll say my older brother Kieran. He has the tough full back image!”
2. Fastest?
“Cathal King. He’s like a bullet, you’d never catch him when he gets going.”
3. Slowest?
“I’d say Kieran Bermingham at the moment as he’s after doing his ACL.”
4. Biggest messer in the dressing-room?
“That’d be John Madden, who’s on our panel and came on the last day against Passage.”
5. Most skilful?
“It’d be a lad called David Sheppard, he’s amongst our subs.”
6. Most intelligent?
“Paul McNamara. He’s just got his a doctorate in physics in NUIG. So there’s no shortage of brain cells there.”
7. Butt of the jokes in the squad?
“That has to be John Madden again for that one.”
8. Worst dress sense?
“For some reason, I get picked for this one a lot myself! But I’d be giving it to our goalkeeper Paraic Kennedy to be honest.”

“That’d be Evan Egan.”

“James O’Brien, our captain, would be up there.”

“Pat Gleeson probably leads the way in this one.”

“Without a shadow of doubt, that’s Shane Dowling! No question there, 100% him.”
