David Meyler shows off his war wounds after suffering gruesome eye injury

The Ireland international needed stitches after being caught in the face by Laurent Koscielny’s boot.

HULL CITY’S DAVID Meyler was in the wars last night as they suffered defeat to Arsenal at the KC Stadium.

The Ireland midfielder, who came off the bench at half-time in the 3-1 loss, suffered a nasty gash just below his right eye after a clash with Gunners defender Laurent Koscielny.

Having received lengthy treatment, Meyler opted to play on with one eye swollen closed but he did need stitches afterwards and posted this picture to Instagram this afternoon.
