Did an Irishman just produce the greatest finish in the history of motor racing?

THE FIRESTONE FREEDOM 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway wouldn’t have been top of most people’s ‘must watch’ lists when it came to this weekend’s sporting action.

However, it produced a four-wide finish with the top four cars separated by just 0.0443 of a second.

And the winner, 27-year old Peter Dempsey from Ashbourne.
