IT’S BEEN CONFIRMED that Dundalk FC will play the crucial home tie of their third-round Champions League qualifier at Tallaght Stadium rather than their usual ground — Oriel Park.
After progressing at the expense of Iceland’s FH on away goals in last night’s second-round match, Stephen Kenny’s men travel to Belarus to take on BATE Borisov in next week’s first leg on 26 July.
The club’s official Facebook page have also confirmed that the second leg will take place in Dublin on 2 August a week later, as Oriel Park does not meet Uefa standards for a third-round match.
Last night’s success means Dundalk stand to earn a windfall of at least €1.2 million.
