IF MEXICO ARE scrabbling around desperately for good omens ahead of their second round tie against the Netherlands at the World Cup this evening, they need look no further than this Erick Torres goal.
The Mexican – who is not capped at senior level yet – struck a superb, Tim Cahill-esque volley for Chivas USA during their MLS clash with Real Salt Lake this weekend. Still just 21, Torres may be taking part in future World Cups if he can start to score goals like this on a more consistent basis.
