THE DRAW FOR the rounds of 32 and 16 of the Europa League has offered some interesting ties.
Liverpool will have to deal with a Russian team for the second time this season. They will take on domestic champions Zenit St Petersburg, having already faced money-men Anzhi Makhachkala in the group stages.
Defending champions Atletico Madrid will play Rubin Kazan and last year’s Champions League winners Chelsea, meanwhile, were drawn to play Czech side Sparta Prague after the Blues failed to progress through the group stages of the tournament.
London rivals Tottenham have been pitted against French outfit Lyon, while Newcastle face Metalist Kharkiv of Ukraine and Benfica meet Bayer Leverkusen.
Serie A giants Inter have been paired with Romanian outfit Cluj, who finished third in their Champions League group behind Manchester United and Galatasaray.
Ajax, who host the final, were paired with Steaua Bucharest.
The round of 32 takes place on February 14 and 21, while the round of 16 will be played on March 7 and 14. The final is at the Amsterdam ArenA on May 15.
