Fennell to start Leinster decider for Dublin

St. Vincent’s man comes in to replace Michael Dara Macauley in midfield.

PAT GILROY HAS made just one change to the Dublin starting XV for this Sunday’s Leinster SFC Final against Wexford, with St. Vincent’s midfielder Eamon Fennel replacing the injured Michael Dara Macauley.

Macauley was ruled out of Sunday’s showdown in headquarters after fracturing a finger during the first half of the Dubs’ semi-final win over Kildare.

That one enforced change aside, the Dublin line-up remains unchanged with Eoghan O’Gara free to resume his position in the full-foward line alongside Diarmuid Connolly and Footballer of the Year Bernard Brogan.

O’Gara was sent off against the Lilywhites but, because it was for a second bookable offence, the Tempelogue man escaped suspension.

Tickets for Sunday’s game are still on sale the Leinster Council Offices in Portlaoise (0578682000), the GAA Ticket Office on Dorset Street in Dublin or online at www.gaa.ie and www.ticketmaster.ie.

Dublin (vs. Wexford): Cluxton; Fitzsimons, O’Carroll, Conlon; McCarthy, Brennan, Nolan; Bastick, Fennell; Flynn, A Brogan, Cullen (c); O’Gara, Connolly, B Brogan.
