POLL: Would you like to see more midweek games in the GAA?

The scheduling of Gaelic football and hurling matches has come under debate in recent times.

THE ISSUE OF midweek fixtures being introduced at senior inter-county level in the GAA has cropped up again.

Dublin manager Jim Gavin has revealed that he is not enamoured with the idea of more midweek games being played at senior level after his side’s O’Byrne Cup win last Wednesday night against Louth.

There has been speculation about Dublin playing a league game on a Friday night but their fixtures will remain in traditional weekend slots this spring.

The footballers of Armagh and Down will sample Friday night football on February 7th but the fixture has not met with widespread approval amongst players.

So, we want to know would you like to see more midweek fixtures in the GAA? Or is it unfair to expect amateur players to line out after a day’s work?
