All four German goals from their rout against Portugal and Pepe's moment of madness

Thomas Müller maintained his brilliant World Cup scoring record for Germany.

GERMANY MAY HAVE braced themselves for a tough test this afternoon against Portugal in their World Cup opener but it was a straightforward clash.

Pepe’s moment of madness in the first-half saw Portugal reduced to ten men and Germany piled on the agony by banging in three goals before the interval.

Thomas Müller set the ball rolling for Germany by finding the net from the penalty spot in the 11th minute.
