Gibraltar's youth team score tournament-winning goal while their opponents celebrate

Some quick thinking ensured a pretty memorable finale to the Under-16 Uefa Development competition.

GIBRALTAR ARE THE Under-16 Uefa Development tournament champions but the goal that won them the competition was certainly unique.

After grabbing what they thought was an injury-time winner, the Macedonia players headed to their bench to celebrate with coaches and team-mates.

But, some quick-thinking from the Gibraltar side followed and they rushed to the half-way line to get the game restarted.

Waved on by the referee, a Gibraltar player dribbled to the edge of the penalty area and tapped home to an empty net and as the Macedonians rubbed their eyes in disbelief, the full-time whistle went.
