Given starts, as Trap confirms Ireland XI to play Croatia

The veteran manager has fulfilled his promise to name the same side that started against Hungary.

THERE WERE NO major surprises at the Ireland press conference, as Giovanni Trapattoni confirmed the identity of the eleven players to face Croatia.

Concerns over Shay Given’s fitness have been allayed, with the goalkeeper being declared fit to face Croatia.

Elsewhere, the team was, as expected, the same XI that started in the side’s most recent game against Hungary.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm tomorrow night.
