Goalkeeper controversially sent off for escorting pitch invader off the field

We’re not sure the referee has taken the correct decision here.

IT IS A truth universally acknowledged that pitch invaders are idiots.

So when a Maghreb AS de Fes goalkeeper Mohamed Essokhra decided to chase down the latest clown who made his way onto the field of play, you would have imagined that everyone would be keen to thank him.

Well, not quite.

Instead the referee decided to send him off.
