It was a good weekend for the Irish provinces.

IT WAS A good weekend for the Irish provinces in the Guinness Pro12 as all four recorded important victories ahead of next weekend’s European fixtures.

Robbie Henshaw marked his return to Connacht duty with a try in their win over Treviso while Mike Ross touched down for just the second time as Leinster edged past Scarlets.

On Saturday, Munster withstood a late Edinburgh onslaught to come away from Murrayfield with the points before Ulster completed the clean-sweep on Sunday with victory at Rodney Parade.
