You'll get a free cup of tea and a ham sandwich if you go to this GAA double-header this weekend

You won’t get that at Lansdowne Road.

IS THIS THE most GAA match-day promotion you’ve come across? It’s certainly the tastiest.

If you go to the double-header at Tullamore’s O’Connor Park this Saturday, you’ll be treated to a free cup of tea and – that staple of trips to Gaelic games — a  ham sandwich.

Offaly are celebrating their 22-year sponsorship by O’Carroll’s Ham, which is they say, the longest running in the Association.  The deal has been extended in recent days.

The Faithfil take on Carlow in the National Football League at 2pm after the county’s camogie stars face Cork (12.15pm).

“At Carroll’s Ham we are proud of our roots,” a company spokesperson said, “we are proud to be from Offaly and having the Carroll’s Ham name on the Offaly county shirts has helped us to become a national success story.”
