On Sunday, Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour was ejected for punching Steelers quarter back Ben Roethlisberger (not long back after a ‘sexual assault’ case) in the face.
Seymour said that Roethlisberger “just ran up on me quick,” and the punch was a “natural reaction.”
Earlier, the NFL announced his punishment: no suspension, but a $25,000 fine.
When Roy Keane bemoaned getting sent off for throwing a ball at Alan Shearer – arguing that he might as well have hit him and got the value out of the suspension – this is what he meant.
This one is worth every penny. Right?
