GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI HAS announced a provisional 28-man squad for the upcoming international matches.

Ireland play England at Wembley on May 29 before two games in Dublin – a friendly with Georgia followed by the World Cup qualifier meeting with the Faroe Islands on June 7 – then travel to New York for a meeting with world champions Spain at Yankee Stadium.

Wolves striker Kevin Doyle misses out as he needs surgery. Aston Villa’s Ciaran Clark is injured and neither he nor long term absentee Richard Dunne will be involved.

Norwich winger Anthony Pilkington, who has been twice called up before pulling out with knocks, is named and may feature against England – although he is due to be married two days later.

The squad is as follows: Forde, Westwood, Randolph, O’Shea, St Ledger, Delaney R Keogh, Wilson, Coleman, Kelly, O’Dea, McShane, Whelan, McCarthy, Green, Hendrick, McGeady, Pilkington, McClean, Brady, Meyler, A Keogh, Keane, Long, Sammon, Walters, Cox, Hoolahan.
