ROBBIE KEANE SCORED his 60th international goal this evening to give Ireland a 1-0 lead against Sweden in their crunch World Cup qualifier.

After much confusion in the Swedish defence, Keane showed his trademark persistence to eventually score after hitting the post with his initial effort.

The goal was no less than Ireland deserved. However, Sweden have since equalised.
