Jeff Stelling and Paul Merson think Ireland's Harry Arter deserves an England call-up

And we were just getting over the ‘All-England final’ incident, you guys.

JEFF STELLING and Paul Merson think Ireland international Harry Arter is knocking on the door of an England call-up.

The pair previewed the weekend’s football action with a Facebook video earlier, in which Stelling asked why Arter should not be included in Gareth Southgate’s first squad.

“I want to talk about one player in particular here,” the Soccer Saturday host said, “because Gareth Southgate names his first England squad this week.

“Is there the remotest chance that Harry Arter could be in it; and if not… why not?”

Merson agreed the Bournemouth midfielder would bring something new to the Three Lions set-up.
