LIKE ALL OF US, goalkeeper Joe Hart stood and admired the wonderful Andrea Pirlo free-kick that rattled the woodwork in the dying moments of the England/Italy Group D game on Saturday night.
When he realised the ball had bounced out of play and failed to ripple the net, Hart furiously went in search of it, desperate to take his goal-kick as quickly as possible and attempt to orchestrate a last-gasp England equaliser.
But for Hart, the ballboys weren’t working quickly enough to retrieve the ball and he barked his displeasure, using some colourful language to get his point across.
