Women's Six Nations

Katie Taylor met the Irish women's rugby team and presented them with their jerseys

Olympic champion says it was “an honour… and a privilege” to meet the Grand Slam winners.

AFTER MEETING KATIE Taylor, Ireland’s women will be out to deliver a knockout blow against Wales tonight.

Olympic champion Taylor called into the Grand Slam-winning camp yesterday to meet the team and present them with their jerseys.

“What a legend,” team captain Fiona Coghlan tweeted while Taylor herself said it was “an honour… and a privilege.”

Ireland got their Six Nations defence up and running in scintillating style last week, running in 11 tries against Scotland, while Wales were narrowly beaten by Italy.

Kick-off in Ashbourne is at 7.30pm this evening.
