4 senior players in Kilkenny U21 hurling side for Leinster semi final

The Carlow side has also been named for their clash against Wexford.

KILKENNY BOSS RICHIE Mulrooney has announced his side to take on Offaly in tomorrow night’s Bord Gáis Energy Leinster U21HC semi-final.

Senior player Cillian Buckley is named at wing-forward while three other players who were on the bench for Brian Cody’s senior side against Dublin last Sunday in the Leinster semi-final in Portlaoise, are also in the U21 line-up.

Willie Phelan starts at full-back while Padraig Walsh will be beside him at left corner-back and Ger Aylward gets the nod to start at right corner-forward.

The team will be captained by left half-back Brian Kennedy for what will be the reigning champions Kilkenny’s first game in this grade in 2013.

Offaly enter the match having beaten Laois in their opening clash earlier this month in Portlaoise by 2-16 to 2-15.
