The attacker suffered the injury during the second-half in Semple Stadium yesterday.

KILKENNY’S RICHIE POWER sustained no serious injury in yesterday’s All-Ireland quarter-final against Cork despite being stretchered off during the game.

Power had to withdraw during the second-half of the game after sustaining a heavy challenge in the match in the Semple Stadium.

The Carrickshock club man looked severely disorientated at the time and there were concerns for his well-being.

However after receiving medical treatment Power recovered and was able to walk off the pitch after the game to the Cats dressing-room.

He also exchanged handshakes with opposition Cork players after the match that saw Kilkenny exit the championship after they suffered a 0-19 to 0-14 defeat.

It is understood that Power did not have suffer any ill-effects last night after the injury and there was no need for him to be hopsitalized at any stage.
