Lee Chin set to be involved with the Wexford footballers this weekend

Both senior sides from the Model County are in championship action tomorrow night.

HE CAPTAINED THE Wexford hurlers to a famous win in this week’s Bord Gáis Energy Leinster U21 final but Lee Chin is set to be involved with the county’s footballers this weekend.

Chin has been named on the bench by manager Aidan O’Brien for their All-Ireland senior football round two qualifier against Longford tomorrow evening at 7pm.

The Model County travel to Pearse Park as they seek to atone for their provincial semi-final loss to Meath. They have named their starting 15 for that clash with James Holmes coming into the attack for Shane Roche.

But Chin, one of the stars in Wednesday night’s epic hurling success against Kilkenny, is named amongst their substitutes.

The county’s hurlers are also in action tomorrow in their All-Ireland senior hurling phase 3 qualifier against Clare in Semple Stadium at 5pm and Chin faced a dilemma between the two squads.

WEXFORD: Anthony Masterson (Castletown); Michael Furlong (St Abban’s Adamstown), Graeme Molloy (St James), Rob Tierney (Glynn-Barntown); Brian Malone (Shelmaliers), David Murphy (St Mary’s Rosslare), Adrian Flynn (Gusserane); Daithi Waters (St Martin’s), Rory Quinlivan (Parnells); James Holmes (Castletown), Ben Brosnan (Bannow-Ballymitty), Aindreas Doyle (Parnells); Ciaran Lyng (St Martin’s), Redmond Barry (St Anne’s), PJ Banville (Horeswood).
Subs: Tom Hughes (Kilanerin), Lee Chin (Sarsfields), Paddy Byrne (Kilmore), Conor Carty (Castletown), Brendan Mulligan (Sarsfields), Shane Roche (Geraldine O’Hanrahan’s), Kevin Gore (Sarsfields), Sean Culleton (Geraldine O’Hanrahan’s), Killian Kehoe (Gusserane), Kevin O’Grady (St James), Paidi Kelly (St Martin’s).

Meanwhile the Wexford senior hurling substitutes have been announced by Liam Dunne for that clash with Clare.

Dunne announced his starting 15 earlier in the week that will face the Banner men.

But he delayed in releasing his substitutes until after the Leinster U21 hurling decider and he has included members of that heroic U21 outfit on the bench in Gary Moore, Conor McDonald and Andrew Kenny.

Subs: 16. Niall Breen 17. Harry Kehoe 18. Michael O’Regan 19. Gary Moore 20. Eoin Doyle 21. Pj Nolan 22. Ciaran o Shaughnessy 23. James Tonks 24. Benny Jordan 25. Conor McDonald 26. Andrew Kenny.
