Limerick stick with same fifteen for Munster minor hurling decider

It’s 29 years since Limerick last won a provincial minor hurling title.

LIMERICK MANAGER BRIAN Ryan has announced an unchanged side for Sunday’s Electric Ireland Munster minor hurling final against Waterford.

The sides clash in the Gaelic Grounds at 1.45pm as the curtain-raiser to the senior decider between Limerick and Cork.

And the Shannonsiders are set to stick with the team that got the better of Tipperary the semi-final stage by 1-17 to 0-17 in Semple Stadium.

Limerick will pin their attacking hopes on full-forward Ronan Lynch who shot 1-7 against the Premier while David Dempsey chipped in with 0-4 during that match.

Limerick are aiming to bridge a 29-year gap since the county last won the provincial minor title in 1984 and are appearing in their first minor showdown in Munster since losing out to Cork in 2005.

LIMERICK: Colin Ryan (Pallasgreen); Jamie Porter (Monaleen) Richard English (Doon) (Captain), Sean Finn (Bruff); Stephen Ryan (Doon), Andrew La Touche Cosgrave (Monaleen), Sean Flanagan (Feoghanagh/Castlemahon); Jamie Bulter (Feoghanagh/Castlemahon), Darragh Donovan (Doon); Barry Nash (South Liberties), David Dempsey (Na Piarsaigh), Cian Lynch (Patrickswell); Dean Coleman (Doon), Ronan Lynch (Na Piarsaigh), Pat Ryan (Doon).
