Welcome along to a busy night of GAA action as Cork face Kildare and Down meet Donegal in Division 1 of the Allianz Football League. In Division 3, Cavan face Monaghan while Fermanagh take on Roscommon. And in Division 4, we have the meeting of Tipperary and Waterford.

Some notable team news to bring you. Ryan McHugh makes his debut tonight for Donegal in Ballybofey against Down. While there are three changes on the Cork team from that which was announced during the week as Eoin O’Mahony, Tom Clancy (Clonakilty) and John O’Rourke replace Paudie Kissane, Alan O’Connor and Pearse O’Neill.

Other games of note tonight that we’ll be keeping an eye on are the Waterford Crystal Cup final between Tipperary and Clare in Thurles while in the All-Ireland Club IFC final in Croke Park, Kerry’s Finuge face Tyrone’s Cookstown.

Another pre-match change to note in Ballybofey as Paul McComiskey comes into the Down team for Benny Coulter.

Division 4 – Waterford 0-1 Tipperary 0-0: Paul Whyte get the Déise off the mark by pointing a free in the Division 4 clash in Dungarvan.

Division 3 – Monaghan 0-1 Cavan 0-0: Conor McManus tapped over a close-range free to get the Farney men off the mark in Kingspan Breffni Park in their Division 3 tie.

Division 1 – Cork 0-1 Kildare 0-1: John Doyle has swung over a free for Kildare to tie the teams in Páirc Uí Rinn.

Division 1 – Donegal 0-1 Down 0-0: Michael Murphy gets Donegal off the mark as he curls over a free in the 5th minute in Ballybofey.

Division 4 – Waterford 1-1 Tipperary 0-1: Paul Whyte has found the net for Waterford as the Kilrossanty man adds to his earlier point but Brian Fox has responded with a point for Tipperary.

Division 1 – Donegal 0-1 Down 0-1: Burren’s Donal O’Hare pops over a free to tie the teams but then Down were grateful to goalkeeper Michael Cunningham for thwarting a goal bound effort from Neil McGee.

Division 3 – Cavan 0-2 Monaghan 0-1: Terry Hyland’s side have hit the front with Martin Dunne and Cian Mackey grabbing their points but the big development is Monaghan are down to 14 men after key attacker Conor McManus was sent-off.

Division 3 – Fermanagh 0-1 Roscommon 0-1: Sean Quigley got Fermanagh off to a bright start with a point but Donie Smith, in action this week for DCU in the Sigerson Cup, has tied the game.

Division 1 – Cork 1-3 Kildare 0-3: Ciaran Sheehan has billowed the net for Cork with a goal after good work by Fintan Goold and Paul Kerrigan in the build-up. Seanie Johnston had been to the fore for Kildare in the scoring stakes before that.

Division 1 – Donegal 0-2 Down 0-2: St Eunan’s Ross Wherity had edged Donegal ahead but that has been quickly cancelled out by Donal O’Hare from a free.

Division 1 – Cork 1-3 Kildare 0-5: Kildare have bounced back well from the concession of that goal with Padraig O’Neill from play and Mikey Conway from a free both registering points.

Division 4 – Waterford 1-2 Tipperary 0-1: Robert Ahearne has clipped over another point to extend Waterford’s lead to four points in the Fraher Field.

Division 3 – Fermanagh 1-2 Roscommon 0-1: Fermanagh have moved clear in Enniskillen with Daryl Keenan smashing home a goal and Quigley notching another point.

Division 3 – Cavan 0-3 Monaghan 0-1: There’s been another sending off in Kingspan Breffni Park and it’s Martin Dunne, Cavan’s leading attacker, who has seen red after Conor McManus, Monaghan’s leading attacker, had earlier been dismissed. Dramatic stuff so far.

Division 1 – Down 0-3 Donegal 0-2: It’s desperately scrappy stuff so far in Ballybofey with scores at a premium. But Down will be happy to lead the way as their freetaker Donal O’Hare continues to be on song from placed balls. He’s just notched his third point of the game.

Division 1 – Down 0-4 Donegal 0-2: Down extend their advantage with a point from Kevin McKernan from a free.

Division 1 – Cork 1-4 Kildare 0-5: Colm O’Neill ends a barren scoring spell for Cork with a point from a placed ball as half-time draws never in Páirc Uí Rinn.

Latest from the AIB All-Ireland Club IFC final in Croke Park and it’s Cookstown from Tyrone who lead Kerry outfit Finuge by 0-4 to 0-2. Plenty stars in action in that game like Owen Mulligan, Paul Galvin and Eamonn Fitzmaurice.

Division 3 – Cavan 0-6 Monaghan 0-1: Despite the loss of their attacking lynchpin Martin Dunne, Cavan have done well against their near neighbors with David Givney the latest point-scorer as they lead by five points.

HT – Division 1: Cork 1-5 Kildare 0-6: Paul Kerrigan’s point just before the break helps Cork lead by two as the sides head to the dressing-rooms. Kildare had a great goal chance but Cathal McNally missed the opportunity to hit the net.

HT – Division 3: Cavan 0-7 Monaghan 0-1: Gearoid McKiernan with the last point of the half as Terry Hyland’s Cavan side go in at the break with six to spare.

HT – Division 4: Waterford 1-4 Tipperary 0-6: Just the one between the teams at the break in the Fraher Field with Peter Acheson and Barry Grogan claiming the points that have helped the Premier recover from the concession of an early goal to Waterford’s Paul Whyte.

HT – Division 1: Down 0-5 Donegal 0-4: Down go in at the interval with a point to spare after Donal O’Hare swept over his fourth point of the game, his first from play, to at one stage give them a three-point advantage. Yet Donegal finished the half stronger in Ballybofey with points from Colm McFadden and Michael Murphy from frees.

HT – Division 3 – Fermanagh 1-5 Roscommon 0-3: Fermanagh have five points to spare at the interval in Enniskillen.

Waterford Crystal Cup final – Tipperary 1-5 Clare 0-5: The Premier are making the early running in Semple Stadium with the goal arriving from Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher.

And it’s half-time in Croke Park with Tyrone’s Cookstown leading Kerry’s Finuge by 0-5 to 0-4 in the All-Ireland Club IFC final.

Division 1 – Cork 1-6 Kildare 0-7: Cork start the second-half brightly with Aidan Walsh, just on for Tomas Clancy, firing over a point but then Daniel Flynn replies with a point for Kildare.

Red cards to report of. Cork have been reduced to 14 men with defender Damien Cahalane sent-off in Páirc Uí Rinn while John McCutcheon has been dismissed as Cavan are down to 13 men against Monaghan.

Division 3 – Fermanagh 2-5 Roscommon 0-3: Paul Ward has raised Fermanagh’s second green flag of the game to provide them with an early second-half boost in Enniskillen.

Division 4 – Waterford 2-4 Tipperary 0-7: Tipperary drew level after the break when Conor Sweeney pointed but then Robert Ahearne pounced for Waterford’s second goal of the game.

Division 3 – Fermanagh 2-5 Roscommon 1-5: Roscommon bounce back quickly with a goal from Donal Smith and Cathal Cregg adds a point.

Division 3 – Cavan 0-8 Monaghan 0-3: A Tommy Freeman point from a free cuts the gap for Monaghan.

Division 1 – Donegal 0-6 Down 0-5: The All-Ireland champions starting to motor in Ballybofey. Michael Murphy and Rory Kavanagh chalk up points from play to leave them ahead by the 43rd minute.

Waterford Crystal Cup final – Clare 0-14 Tipperary 1-8: The Banner ahead at the interval in Semple Stadium.

Division 1 – Cork 1-7 Kildare 0-9: The Lilywhites have plenty momentum down south with Mikey Conway notching his fourth point of the game to cut the gap to the minimum.

Finuge have been reduced to 14 men in the All-Ireland Club IFC final with Tyrone’s Cookstown leading 0-7 to 0-5.

Division 1 – Cork 1-9 Kildare 0-10: Donncha O’Connor and John O’Rourke gave a bit of breathing space for a 14-man Cork team but a Padraig O’Neill point ensures Kildare are still in the hunt for victory.

Division 1 FL – Kildare 1-10 Cork 1-9: Goal by Niall Kelly, last week’s man-of-the-match, gives Kildare a huge boost in Páirc Uí Rinn against Cork.

Division 3 – Cavan 1-8 Monaghan 0-4: 13-man Cavan look on course for victory with Martin Reilly registering their goal from the penalty spot.

Division 3 – Fermanagh 2-11 Roscommon 1-5: Fermanagh are surely set for their second successive league win as they are ahead by eight points in Enniskillen.

Division 1 – Donegal 0-10 Down 0-5: Fifteen minutes to go in Ballybofey and Donegal putting some distance between themselves and their opponents. They had a chance of a goal there but Michael Murphy elected to fist the ball over the bar and give his team a five-point advantage.

Division 1 – Kildare 2-10 Cork 1-9: A big strike in Páirc Uí Rinn as Paddy Brophy puts the ball in the net for Kildare’s second goal of the night. That looks like it could be a pivotal moment in this game as Kildare close in on a second successive win and Cork could be facing their second successive defeat.

Division 4 – Waterford 2-8 Tipperary 0-9: The Déise are in a good position to get their second win of this year’s league as the full-time whistle approaches in Dungarvan.

FT – Division 1 – Kildare 2-10 Cork 1-9: All over in Páirc Uí Rinn and that’s a big away win for Kieran McGeeney’s side. They’re in a really strong position now ahead of the three-week break.

FT – Division 4: Waterford 2-8 Tipperary 0-9: A good victory for Niall Carew’s Waterford side as they defeat Munster opponents for the second successive game.

FT – Division 3 – Cavan 1-10 Monaghan 0-5: Three red cards brandished in Kingspan Breffni Park but it is Cavan who have the points after this victory.

Division 1 – Donegal 0-12 Down 0-7: Donegal in a strong position with Daniel McLaughlin just after kicking the score that sends them five points clear.

FT – Division 3 – Fermanagh 2-12 Roscommon 2-6: A late Michael Finneran goal for Roscommon was just a consolation effort as Fermanagh ran out six-point winners in Enniskillen.

FT – Division 1: Donegal 0-12 Down 0-7: Jim McGuinness can celebrate tonight as his team get their first points of this year’s league campaign tonight in Ballybofey.

All over in Croke Park in the All-Ireland IFC club final and it’s Tyrone’s Cookstown who are celebrating a 1-9 to 0-6 victory over Kerry side Finuge.

Waterford Crystal Cup final – Clare 1-19 Tipperary 1-11: Clare are in control in the pre-season decider in Thurles with Shane O’Donnell grabbing their goal.

FT – Waterford Crystal Cup final – Clare 1-21 Tipperary 1-13: And it’s an early season boost for Davy Fitzgerald’s side at Semple Stadium as they emerge with an eight-point victory.

That’s all from us for tonight. Thanks for joining us and for your comments, we’ll be back tomorrow keeping tabs on all the GAA action.
