EMOTIONS WILL BE running high today when Steven Gerrard makes his final appearance in a Liverpool shirt on home turf before joining LA Galaxy in the close-season.
The Reds skipper will lead out his hometown club and take the applause of the Kop for the last time when the Merseysiders face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
Tributes have been pouring in for the 34-year-old all week and Liverpool have changed the title of their matchday programme for Stevie G’s farewell party while Adidas, one of Gerrard’s long-time partners, have furnished him with some boots to mark the occasion.
