Mark McNulty (Cork City)
The veteran stopper brought his clean-sheet tally to 10 for the campaign and made a brilliant save from David Cassidy’s penalty to deny Bray Wanderers a share of the spoils at Turner’s Cross.
Defenders
Sean Gannon (Dundalk)
Another solid display from the full-back away to Sligo Rovers. Gannon receives the plaudits as rarely as he makes an error but he’s been consistently reliable for the champions.
Derek Prendergast (Bohemians)
Prendergast scored the crucial equaliser that set Bohs on their way to a big win over Shamrock Rovers but his contribution in defence was equally as important.
Shane McEleney (Derry City)
The centre-back shackled the in-form Lee Duffy well for the most part as Drogheda sought to release the striker with balls over the top and down the channels. McEleney was always alert to the danger and made several key clearances.
Lorcan Fitzgerald (Bohemians)
He’s sometimes exposed defensively but that wasn’t the case against Rovers on Friday. Fitzgerald is always an excellent offensive outlet and he notched two assists in his side’s 3-1 win.
Midfielders
Daryl Horgan (Dundalk)
The winger has been having another fine season. He caused Sligo Rovers, his former club, all sorts of problems and set up the first of Dundalk’s two goals.
Richie Towell (Dundalk)
This season’s stand-out performer was instrumental in Dundalk’s win at the Showgrounds, and despite the side not being at their best, he was a key figure on the night, scoring the winner from the penalty spot.
Chris Forrester (St Patrick’s Athletic)
When Forrester is on form he’s a joy to watch and that was the case against Limerick at Richmond Park, as the midfielder pulled the strings and helped himself to his team’s equaliser.
Aymen Ben Mohammed (Longford Town)
It wasn’t Longford’s night as they went down to Galway on Friday but the lively 20-year-old Tunisian was a shining light for Tony Cousins’ side.
Forwards
Jake Keegan (Galway United)
The US-born striker played an important role in bringing Galway back to the top flight and his good form has continued in 2015. He netted the only goal of the game against Longford.
Christy Fagan (St Patrick’s Athletic)
Liam Buckley has shown faith in Fagan lately and he hasn’t let his manager down, scoring again in Friday’s defeat of Limerick.
