Fan tries to warm up with Manchester City stars at Everton

A FAN INVADED the pitch at Everton in a bid to warm with Manchester City’s stars before the champions’ Premier League clash this afternoon.

The man, dressed in City kit, ran on along the touchline as Roberto Mancini’s players warmed up at Goodison Park and attempted to join the likes of Carlos Tevez and David Silva on the field.

However, security staff noticed the man, who had written ’9 Bent’ on the back of his City shirt, and quickly escorted him away before his intrusion went any further.

Play was held up in the corresponding fixture between Everton and City last season when a man ran onto the field and handcuffed himself to a goalpost in protest about Ryanair’s recruitment policy after his daughter was denied a job by the airline.

Everton currently lead 1-0.
