GERMANY WERE GRATEFUL to Manuel Neuer on more than one occasion for getting them out of jail last night in Porto Alegre.

Germany needed extra-time before coming through with a 2-1 win against Algeria in their World Cup second round clash and Neuer was called upon on several occasions during normal time to clear the danger.
