Michael D Higgins' joyful celebration of Brady's goal sums up just how Ireland is feeling
THIS EVENING SAW Ireland play their third match of the Euros against Italy in Lille.
Everyone’s nerves were shot for the entire match – until, in the 83rd minute, Robbie Brady pulled it out of the bag and scored a goal.
The whole of Ireland jumped to its feet, including President Michael D Higgins, who was sitting in the stands:
