Moreno welcome at Anfield: One of Liverpool’s main transfer focuses over the past few weeks has been full-back Alberto Moreno and the Daily Mail say the deal is very, very close to completion on a £16million fee.
Blind luck: The most likely-looking move onto the Manchester United payroll remains Ajax defender Daley Blind. Louis Van Gaal could do with a lad who can play left and centre back and he clearly trusts Blind (and he’s also mates with his aul’ fella) after their World Cup experience.

After Arsenal laughed in the face of Manchester United’s bid to take Tomas Vermaelen across Premier League battle lines, they are apparently keen to offer a similar move to Danier Agger to replace the Belgian.
