Munster hoping to fill the void left by JJ Hanrahan with Australian centre
AFTER JJ HANRAHAN’S departure to Northampton was confirmed yesterday, Munster are wasting little time in lining up a replacement for the centre with the Irish Independent reporting Rob Horne is their primary target.
Ruaidhri O’Connor says the two-time European Cup winners have also enquired about the availability of All Black Ben Smith after this year’s World Cup but Horne remains the realistic target.
Horne has played 25 times for Australia and featured in all of the Wallabies’ recent November Internationals, except for the defeat in Dublin.
The 25-year-old is currently playing for the New South Wales Waratahs and made his international debut in June 2010.
