FOUR YEARS AGO, Paul The Octopus may have got all the headlines after his mesmeric match predictions during the World Cup. But, since his passing (RIP) a few months after the tournament, the baton has been seamlessly passed to another oracle. Step forward Nelly the Elephant.
Based at Hanover’s Serengeti Park, the wise one isn’t just a flash in the pan. Nelly has predicted the outcomes of the World Cup in South Africa, Euro 2012 and the Champions League final of 2013. So, she means business. Despite it being an incredibly confusing video, Nelly apparently has predicted Germany will draw with Portugal and will beat the USA and Ghana during their Group G campaign.
It also contains gratuitous footage of a woman in a traditional Brazilian samba costume…for no reason.
