The Premier League has a new logo for next season
There won’t be a title sponsor, however.

THE PREMIER LEAGUE had been expected to drop the lion from its new logo for the 2016/17 season but the iconic feline has been saved in the rebrand, even if it did lose its body.

From next season onwards, England’s top flight will lose its title sponsor too, after Premier League clubs agreed in July last year to move away from the title sponsorship model most other leagues are embracing.

Premier League managing director, Richard Masters, said this decision “provided the opportunity to consider how we wanted to present ourselves as an organisation and competition.”

In a press release unveiling of the new logo, the designers said they had aimed “to create a bold and vibrant identity that includes a modern take on the lion icon.”
