VIDEO: Notre Dame and Alabama season highlights

Hype video released to promote Monday’s BCS National Championship game.

WITH ALL THE hype surrounding the NFL’s Wild-Card weekend, it could be easy to forget that Notre Dame and Alabama square off in the early hours of Monday morning in college football’s equivalent of the Super Bowl.

The Fighting Irish go into the game as the only undefeated team in the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) while Alabama are looking to secure back-to-back national titles and the seventh successive BCS National Championship for the all-dominant SEC (Southeastern Conference).

We’ll have a full preview of the game on Monday but, meanwhile, here’s a so-called ‘hype’ video a fan has  made to help build up the game.

I’ve been following college football in America for a few years and Notre dame being in the BCS championship game was laughable before the season started. Heart says Irish win but head says crimson tide will be too strong. 5-8 point win.

    Hi Michael,

I agree with you about Notre Dame being outsiders coming into this season but they’ve played a tougher schedule than most and still come through unbeaten. I think this is a considerably overrated Alabama side and really shouldn’t be in the game at all as they were lucky to lose just the one game.

That said, they’ve so much experience at this level that has to count for something. I think it’ll be close with the winning margin being 3-5 points. I hope it’s Notre Dame to round off a brilliant season for them but I wouldn’t be shocked if it were the Crimson Tide either.
