Offaly to face Waterford in All-Ireland hurling qualifier preliminary round

The draw for the opening stages of the All-Ireland hurling qualifiers has taken place this morning.

OFFALY WILL FACE Waterford in the preliminary round of the All-Ireland hurling qualifiers after this morning’s draw.

That was the glamour tie from the draw that took place on Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1 as the Faithful get set to clash against the Deise.

Offaly will have home advantage for the game on Saturday June 22nd which will see the counties meet for the first time in the championship since 2008 when Waterford triumphed by 2-18 to 0-18 in their qualifier tie in Thurles.

Elsewhere in the preliminary round, the losers of the Leinster quarter-final replay between Dublin and Wexford will face Antrim while London will meet Westmeath.

In Phase 1 of the All-Ireland hurling qualifiers, Dublin/Wexford/Antrim will take on Carlow.

While the winners of the London and Westmeath game will clash with the winners of the Offaly and Waterford match.
