BECAUSE OUR PAIR of intrepid reporters in Rio, Niall Kelly and Sinead O’Carroll, don’t have enough to be doing with their time, we decided to launch a daily podcast bringing you the best news, views, interviews and analysis throughout the Games.

Each weekday, Niall or Sinead will join Steve O’Rourke back in Dublin to discuss the latest events and bring you audio from Ireland’s best and brightest competing in Rio.

In episode one we discuss David Oliver Joyce, Paddy Barnes, Fiona Doyle and more as well as the phenomenal achievements of Michael Phelps.

After today, you can find each episode embedded at the bottom of every Olympics article so tune in.
