Peter Canavan ratified as new manager of Cavan Gaels

The Tyrone icon is back in the game.

TYRONE LEGEND Peter Canavan is back in management.

The former Red Hand talisman stepped down from the job with Fermanagh’s senior footballers after a two-year term in September.

Last night however, Canavan was ratified by Cavan Gaels with former Erne County player Ciaran Donnelly set to assist him.

Gaels were beaten in this year’s county final while Canavan has past experience managing a club side thanks to a term with his own outfit Errigal Ciaran.
