STOKE TOOK A shock lead at Old Trafford today after Peter Crouch diverted Jonny Evans’ goal-line clearance past David De Gea.

The United goalkeeper was desperately unlucky after making a fine save initially.

United equalised through Robin Van Persie on 43 minutes when the Dutch striker pounced after Begovic could only parry Wayne Rooney’s header:

However, just before half time, Marko Arnautovic gave Stoke the lead once more with a brilliant free kick:
